If you have any additional queries, please feel free to email us at info@glenavon.com or call one of our team on 01245 224 054.
Our care plans are completely bespoke and may include a range of services from day-to-day tasks such as help with dressing and washing, to more specialist services such as dementia care and mobility aid.
We carry out a thorough initial assessment for all our new clients so we are able to design a tailored plan of care best suited to their needs and choices. We also appreciate that requirements change over time so continually review our clients through daily communications as well as more formalised medical assessments.
All the carers we employ have been selected through a vigorous recruitment process that includes extensive reference and criminal records checks, as well as face-to-face interviews. Team Members are assessed by our management team on a regular basis to ensure they are providing the best possible care and adhering to our ethos of privacy, dignity and modesty.
We provide in-house training to all new employees, regardless of background experience and actively encourage them to constantly enhance their skills through professional development.
Our staff will always be in uniform with an identification badge showing their photograph and signature.
After each visit, our carers are required to document all the duties they have carried out on that day. A care record is kept by the customer and timesheets are signed off at the beginning and end of each visit. Our office is open from 7am to 7pm seven days a week and we operate an out of hours emergency service that exists from 7pm to 11pm, so any issue you may have can always be discussed with your regional manager.
The cost of your care is entirely dependent upon the level of care required. A detailed assessment of your needs will be carried out prior to our first visit. This report will also include daily and weekly costs to ensure you know exactly what you are paying for. You may be entitled to financial support towards the cost of your care so we always recommend checking with your local authority.
We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission, a regulatory body that sets out the requirements and standards of social care services in the UK.
As a team we also set our own standards and expectations that by far surpass these minimum requirements.
We welcome all feedback from our clients and take any negative comments very seriously. Each of our clients is provided with the direct dial telephone number of our Care Manager and we encourage the reporting of problems as soon as possible.
Simply contact our office and we will arrange a meeting with our Care Manager to discuss your care requirements. We are happy to visit your home and welcome immediate family members to meetings to ensure a comprehensive appraisal of your needs is carried out.
As an alternative to residential care, live-in care allows our clients to retain their independence surrounded by friends, family and neighbours.
